This is a case study I got when I applied for a job as a UX designer at Bombayworks.
The brief was to present a design concept for an app that lets its users
find workout classes with spare spots open, at different gym chains
around town.
I was also prompted to try implementing following suggested functions in the design:
- Location based browsing, showing available classes close to the user, perhaps on a map.
- A clear overview of each class, perhaps showing things like what the activity is, who the instructor is, and the difficulty level.
- Somewhere the user can set their workout preferences and track their workouts.
- Booking of classes and adding them to the calendar. The user could also be able to leave a review once the class is finished.
- A marketing aspect, with offers and deals from partners being presented to the user in a non-intrusive way.
